The one of the bronzeangel looks great, :beerbang:

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

I like the bronze angel against the tree, although the lighting could be better.

When you attach an image, be sure to press "insert" after the upload completes. This will put the image into your post.

Very tasteful! Do you have a Hot Shoe flash? There are times that fill flash helps even in out door scenes. The Bronze Angel is a good example!
However, I do like the shadows and high lights on the last one!

As garyrhook, mentioned click on 'Insert' so your photos show up in your post. Fixed it for ya! ;)

Don't pi$$ me off, I am running out of room to store the bodies...

Thanks for the advice and the opinions. I really wanted to get more opinions especially about the bronze angel. I was told by an instructor that it is "boring and should not be put in my portfolio".

I am also taking great care in making the project tasteful and not including names of the interments.

I think the bronze angel is fine. i would prefer to see a shallower DoF (gained by shooting a larger aperture). That would blur the background (bokeh) a bit more and make the statue stand out.
Depending on your post processing experience, you may want to try adjusting the color to lighten the green.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

:agree: That is not a boring photo. It does tell a story, but the background is a bit distracting.

I love all three of them but the bronze angel is my favorite. I love how the color is and the contrast against the trees. I also love how you blurred out the background. You should be very proud of that picture in my opinion. Great Job overall!!! :judge: :judge:

Looks like an interesting project, and doing it in a respectful way. You have some interesting perspectives in the 2nd and 3rd photos, might just need to look at how you're using existing light, the time of day, or if you want to supplement the light that's there, etc.

I wonder if the one of the angel might be more interesting with a different perspective like you used with the other two. It could look different from a different angle, or shot vertically maybe to emphasize her hand reaching to the sky. Or maybe from a lower vantage point looking up at the statue. Even just framing it differently or cropping slightly to get that edge of light concrete that shows along the bottom, out of the photo. Could be interesting to do more of this and try moving around to get photos from different vantage points or at different times of day.
