looking through my portfolio i realized i was really laking in photos taken during the day, so i went on a hike up to a lake i knew had some fun colours to see if i could get a shot.

two views... which do you guys prefer?

general c&c welcome as well!
interesting, or just another shot of a lake?

Fabulous colors, yes. For me the first has more potential in the bush with red leaves and the log as foreground elements. They contrast wonderfully with the water/trees/sky. The composition as is, doesn't do much for me. I would have walked over to have the bush and log be the main foreground components.

I agree. You also seem to have some odd white balance issues too. The colors seem really off.

When the last candle has been blown out
and the last glass of champagne has been drunk
All that you are left with are the memories and the images-David Cooke.

I think the saturation has been pushed a tad too far.

That too, but WB is off. The long exposure doesn't make sense here either. It destroys the details and becomes a distraction.

It's definitely the better one. Click on her Flickr though..she has some nice work.
