#1 and #3 I really like. #3 because it has such a calm simplistic feeling to it.

Canon 5D Mark II, 30D, 40D, 50 1.2L, 16-35 2.8L Mark II, 24-105 4L IS, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L IS, 85 1.8, 4 x 580 EX(II)

Really dislike the filter. There's nothing like taking a decent image and making it dull.

My $0.02. That said...

#2,3,4: compositionally, I don't care for the centering. None of the subjects suggest that centering in the frame is beneficial to the image. For #3 (probably the most interesting) I would have suggested moving left or right to adjust the background texture a bit. Where it is now is not helpful. Also, the bit of grass in the lower right corner really should be removed; it's distracting.

For 2 & 4, not much going on.

For 1, the lines from the railing and road are good, and I like the people in the distance. Not sure I care for the camera vantage point. I would have tried taking this shot from several different positions: higher, lower, lefter, righter.

Seriously, though: filters are only useful when they make the image stronger. Not just because it seems like a good idea.

Pretty much what Gary said. Plus...
Do you always shoot horizontal? Why?
Numbers 3&4 could be a much stronger vertical composition.

I quite like the filter/processing. The images gives me that carefree and relax sort of feeling.

I am in Melbourne, Australia and right now as I look out the windows, that's the kind of weather we are having right now (very grey and cool temperature look).

I do agree with some others that I would re-frame 3&4 so the subject of interest is not so centre (just my personal preference of course).
