I tend to specialise in Astro and seascapes amongst general landscape photography.

could you give us a link to the website or forum?
And also can you tell us about the equipment? does it need to be special and expensive or just the usual? cood the startkit do the job or not?




I have a Canon 550 D and the lenses 18 to 55mm f/3.5 and a 75-300 mm. I also use a 50mm f/1.8.
(I suppose the telephoto lens is not for this job.)

I took this on a g16 ( 8 frames stitched together):

So almost any camera can do, a 550d with the kit lens at 18mm f3.5 would be ok though its not the best lens.

FF body and fast wide prime is the best.

I thought I commented when you first posted these, but obviously I erred in my recollection. This is what I'd have said:
These are fabulous, and astrophotography is probably my favorite genre, probably because I get so few opportunities. Also, New Zealand is definitely on my bucket list.......;)
