This shot was taken during one of my hikes in the Canadian Rockies. I just picked up LR5 yesterday and played with the sky and forefront rock formation. I have lots to learn yet. By the way, that hike was about 2.5 hours up, loved every painful minute of it...  LoL

I would have enjoyed that hike too.  That is a gorgeous backyard that I would be lost in every day! Are you able to make the hike in the winter too?  I bet those mountains would look remarkable covered in snow.

Hi Alex,
Short story, I picked up some snow shoes about 6 years ago, that same year my Buddy was caught in an avalanche while snow shoeing on Mt. Indafatigable in Kananaskis. I've never put them on, scared the *&^* out of me. Happily and to to everyones amazement, my Friend survived and in a couple years was back hiking with me, summers only.

Good to hear your friend survived!  You know that is one thing I have never tried before... snow shoeing.  I'm guessing that raises the bar in hiking, not to mention a good leg workout!   Did you grow up in that area?

Yes, he was a very lucky man.
I've heard its a tough go, tough enough just walking around, throw in the elevation gain. I've been out here for over 20 years, but I am from the Maritimes and have lived in several Provinces over the years.

Where are you located Alex? By the way, Love PT Alex, great job.

On my monitor that appears underexposed and over saturated.  Both of which LR can deal with, especially if it is RAW.

Thanks Kelly, I will try to play with it a bit more, not sure how to adjust for this yet in LR, but that's how we learn.
Cheers

I'm digging your view and will agree with Kelly that you could use a little more exposure in the rocks and sky.   LR is a awesome tool, I use it for nearly all my post processing.  I'll say again, that view is

Unfortunately there's a large spot right in the middle. Probably from something on the lens. The healing brush (heal mode) is handy for removing those sorts of things.

There's nothing better than the Canadian Rockies in BC in the summer.
