Nice set of images, how wide of a lens did you use here?  That top image looks almost like a fisheye was used.

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8

They all look like a super-wide was used. Overall, I'm not loving that lens here.

The images are well exposed, especially the interior shots. We know that's not easy to do. Did they allow a tripod or monopod, or were these handheld?

For me, there's too much going on (in all of them). There's no clear focus. For example, in the last one I keep looking at the gold detail on the wall. And I'm pretty sure that's not your intent.

For the exterior shot from above there's not enough to create a texture. For the exterior shot from the front, I'm not grounded. It just looks like you shot too high.

The first interior shot doesn't get enough, or gets too much. The second interior doesn't need the wall if you're going to zoom in on the dome.

I think you could consider your intent, about what you want me to look at, in each of these. And figure out how to capture that.

The color and detail on the building, both interior and exterior, is good.

My $0.02.

Thanks! I used an ultra wide angle lens here, the Sigma 14-24mm in particular.

Thanks for all the pointers Gary. Appreciate it!

Yes you are right I used an ultra wide angle lens (Sigma 14-24mm) and all the shots are handheld. My intention was to be able to capture as much of the interior architecture as I could given that everything was so close to me.

In the last image (2nd interior), I found that the gold detail acts like a nice upper frame to the dome (almost like a painting), well that’s how I pictured it at least.

In the 1st interior image, I tried capturing the symmetry in the architectural design of the church’s interior, which I found to be quite fascinating.

I do agree that the exterior image from the front has too much sky in it. Main reason was it was so crouded and wasn’t able to get a nice clean shot without someone’s head popping up in the frame, so I cropped it.

Thanks again and will definitely work on your advice! :thx2:
