Man and God

When I saw this shot, the contrast struck me in a couple of ways.

First was the strength of the man made side.  The exacting measurements of the mason work with all it's lines and angles.  The different textures and materials used in the construction of the various sections of the edifice.  Then to top it off, it has a domed roof !! A complete distinction from 90 degree angle work.  Wow !  A magnificent engineering feat !!

But the God side....  (the tree skeleton) is so amazingly different.  It's living and reaching outward, almost toward the man as it were.  It's a picture of growth and movement and change and being on offence, whereas the Man side is solid, unyielding and unmoving.  Almost defending it's position even though it was built to honor and glorify the tree side.  The God side.

I know I saw something that I was unable to capture and present here (I still need to land a some good photo editing software ) but I thought I would post it anyways.  I'm still working through my first 10,000 crappy photos :)

I get the title, nice connection here.  By the way, where was this taken?  Regarding post processing, I have been using Lightroom.  But just moved Luminar a few weeks ago.  The big win is it's one time cost vs subscription with Adobe.

I do not have lightroom yet, and my system wont even open a RAW file, so I'm stuck with JPEG for the time being.  But thanks to some fine folk around here I have visions

I appreciate your eye ... with lack of post processing software, you really need to work hard to get the image 'right, in the camera'.  I have a friend who is also new to photography and has spent a lot of time getting the image right in the camera.  This has allowed him to minimal computer time and forced him to explore and learn all the finer points of his camera(s).  Chimping is your best friend when post is compromised.  For me, extreme post processing is more a crutch for poor photography than how I desire to execute this craft.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.
