It looks like an enlarger lens. Rodenstock supplied high quality ( probably not as high as Schneider) for many cameras and enlargers. Kodak used to offer their Retinas with either Schneider (superb!!) or Rodenstock optics. A fine lens, I think.

Thanks much! I reversed it on my 35mm 1.8 to use as a 'macro'.!!!

Very well made, has F-stops built in.

:agree: Or for a copy camera. 150mm would be for 4x5.

I've got a Rodenstock Rodagon enlarging lens, a 135mm F5.6 (goes to F32) that I've used on a bellows...Great optics !

What does it say between "Rodenstock" and "1:5.6"?

Rodagon? $750 to $800 new! $100 to $200 used on Ebay these days. It's a high quality enlarging lens for 4x5 film.

What's neat about the longer focal length enlarger lenses is that they will focus all the way from macro to infinity when mounted on a bellows...

Really??? I wish I still had it!

OK, how and why. Not that I will understand.

Another question; if I change the F-stop on my 35mm will that increase the DOF?

Absolutely. The concept of DOF doesn't depend on format.
