UV and Polarized lenses

Would there be any reason to use both a UV lens and a polarized lens at the same time?

To give you more chance of getting glare and flare from the light bouncing around between them.
Seriously, no. Most people use the UV filter as a lens protector.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

No not really. I use a Polarizer when I need it, otherwise I have Nikon Clears on for protection. I live in a very dusty area so I dont mind cleaning off the filter as opposed to the lens. This time of year though my lenses are nekkid unless Im cliff climbing. I have got some rock gouges on my filters despite having a lens hood on.

I use to never use a UV filter, I thought they were a waste of money. Till I had a close call with my lens falling, now I always have one on just for protection. But when I do need a polarized filter, I remove the UV filter.

No UV filters were more important for film than digital.

Like it's been said, they're mainly for scratch/blowing particles protection now.

I sorta 1/2 use them 1/2 don't.
