cleaning filters

I am just in the process of cleaning my filters. I am using lens tissue and cleaner from the photo store.

However, there still seems to be a little film on the filter that doesn't seem to come off... any tips in this area?

The "film" you see might be the anti-reflective coating which is supposed to be on the filter. Of course, it could be something unwanted also. The harder you scrub on it, the more likely you will scrape off a good coating.

Lose the tissue, and get a few micro fiber lens cloths.

Why so serious?

:goodpost:
Years ago there was a short-lived "western comedy" called "Best of the West", a very funny show about an easterner who takes a job as a western sheriff. He came home one day to find his wife cleaning their cabin. She said she had been sweeping all day but the floor was still dirty. He replied, "Dear, it's a dirt floor".
Sorry, don;t know why your comment brought that to mind. :toocrazy:

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.
