crystal wrote: 70-300 is a fine lens, but if you feel you need to get closer and you are ready to have a bigger lens, then by all means by yourself a bigger lens. I have a 70-300 for a few years and eventually upgraded to a 50-500.
Many of my posted wildlife shots are with the 70-300 (a 112-460mm equivalent on a crop camera). The 500 would be a great addition. Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.
