Renting a lens from borrowedlenses?

12 years 11 months ago #83731 by Justin
I will be needing a fisheye lens here in a few weeks and was looking to rent a lens. How is "borrowedlenses"? I've been warned there are some scam companies that will get you on false damage claims when you return the equipment. So I sure would appreciate any input you may have on this subject. Thanks

Very nice to meet you!

And I just PM'd you with a suggestion too..

Suffice it to say, I always recommend checking to see if there's a local professional camera shop (within a comfortable driving distance) that has a rental program. You can talk to real people, talk about options, try different options, establish a professional relationship, and save on shipping costs. Plus, they're generally less expensive..

Why are "we" pm-ing suggestions instead of posting them for all to see?

There are times when information needs to be shared that if done in a public forum could lead to civil issues. Some issues may have been "resolved" with "conditions".
Same reason some things on Facebook as messages instead of wall posts.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

In my case, I pm'ed information about a specific camera store nearby the op's house, then made a generic comment about using local stores if possible.
