Studio lights for small space and under $2000

4 years 3 months ago #671311 by Kyle O
I have renovated a room in my home for a studio.  It's 14' x 17' in size.  Putting aside a single flash I have.  I want to get some studio lighting and other items to start expanding my portrait portfolio and experience.

Keeping that in mind and I don't want to spend more than $2000.  What would you get with that sort of budget?

Strobes? Paul C Buff Digibees, wireless system, PLM umbrellas and diffusers, and a large Westcott softbox with ring. Way under budget.

Other will recommend Godox, which I think is rebranded as Adorama's house brand. Also a fine choice.

Dude, jump on ebay, you can find Apurture 120D, the original ones for well under $500.  That will put  you way under your budget with plenty of room for other stuff.

You just might investigate the Profoto B2. I used it for on
location work since its launch with the greatest pleasure.

A used unit may be right within your budget but I will keep
mine if its ok with you! :P
