How far of a distance does the flash on a camera will travel?

Guide number divided by distance = f/# or GN divided by f/# = distance

Look in your flash or camera manual (or at the manufacturer's website) to see what the guide number is. It is usually listed for ISO 100, and in feet and meters.

If your GN = 100 (feet) @ ISO 100 then you should be able to get "correct" exposure from the flash at 35' @ ISO 100 @ f/2.8

100/2.8=35.7

Going to ISO 400 (2 stops) would get you double the distance. The inverse square law says doubling the distance requires 2 more stops.

Personally 70' is a lot farther than I can imagine flashing anything, but that's what the math says. :)

EDIT: According to the chart in the manual linked above the guide number for your flash is approx 42 (feet) @ ISO 100.
