An experiment with light

12 years 7 months ago #134695 by steveheap
I had seen a picture in a magazine of one of these new LED lights apparently floating in mid air and lit, and I thought I would try to "have a go." Here is the result - it is actually a combination of four shots - the base (which is normally screwed in the lamp), the grey bit, the main part of the glass bulb and then the illuminated LEDs. I had a green radial light on the backdrop during the shots (using a snoot on a flashgun with a green filter), so there would be some continuity. I used the pen tool to extract each piece, and then used masks to bring it all together. I'm pretty pleased!

Only a bit for stock photos - but you have to remove all the logos and things. If you notice, this one has no trade marks or company names!

I do enjoy it though!
