A bit of a bitchy comment Geoff maybe an apology is required, Dikshant is from India so english will be his secondary language, he is also young so will obviously use the style of youngsters texting language.

On the photograph, that is a beautiful butterfly wish we got them like that in England, its a little soft so would watch your focusing Dikshant, otherwise great attempt. :judge: :judge: :judge:

Theres a time and a place. txt language is for texting or other character restricted environments like twitter. if youve got a full keyboard in front of you and no character limits theres no excuse for not typing properly. This doesnt just go for English... if this were a Hindi-speaking forum (or whatever your mother-tongue is) I would hold the same expectation.

Hell im not even a grammar nazi. i dont care if your punctuation or capitalization is perfect. even spelling mistakes are fine. i dont even put significant effort into such things. but it was obvious to me, if not the others... that you chose to type poorly, not because it was a poor understanding of the language as some have suggested. which quite frankly i found to be a bit insulting.

but anyways, dont let me scare you off. Welcome to the community.

First off, it is not up to you to dictate how a person writes. Secondly, your replies are denigrating and demeaning. Highly unprofessional as well.
I suggest to you do not open his posts if his writing manner offends you.

Text speak is quite common in today's new generation. Personally, it seems lazy to me, but I just ignore it and let people do what they want to do.

If you found our comments insulting Geoff then imagine how Dikshant felt, new to a forum and his first response is an insult from you, that type of reply is not tolerated in this forum as you will soon find out if you keep it up, everyone in this forum is welcomed and respected including you Geoff so do the same or please leave.

That's a damn good shot.

Youre correct, its not up to me to dictate how a person writes. he wants to sound like a 13 year old girl thats anyones prerogative. if anything i asked why he chose to do it. I could also say that your post was denigrating as well. but its your opinion, as I have mine. Its just a little hypocritical dont you think. Its also rather funny that you would tell me to ignore his post if his writing manner offends me, yet here you are responding to my writing manner, which you obviously find offensive...

I did not find your comments insulting. If anything i find it incomprehensible that you all defend such poor literary skills. What is insulting is that you would all immediately assume his literary skills lack because hes from another country. As a side note... this is not his first post nor is it the first response hes received to a thread. Its simply the first one to receive controversy.

but thats my opinion. every single one of you is free to take it or leave it...or even completely ignore it. I find it slightly hypocritical though that you would tell me to ignore a post i dont like, but then respond to a post ive made that you dislike. as far as im concerned this issue was resolved by my second post. if you wish to continue to hijack his thread... youre doing more harm to his thread than i ever intended heh

So if the consensus is that you dont want me here just say the word. In which case I wont bother wasting my time contributing to this forum any further. although if you wanted to be considerate you would do so by PM
