I grabbed the D200 and 105VR and took a 30 minute stroll around to see what I could find today. Here are some of the results.

That first one needs a room. I don't care how many times I tell them not in front of the children and bam they did again!

That's funny, it's been too windy here to really get any decent macros & you are only about what 15 miles from me? Nice captures though (even the R rated one, as much as I hate Japanese beetles)

Yeah, the breeze was tough. I finally just gave up and went back inside. The wind only blows here when I try to shoot macro.

Well done. You all keep giving me incentive to work on those macros. Did get this one of a slug looking around. That was one the wind didn't affect. ;)

Nice shots - every single one! I too went out in search of macro ops today but couldn't find a single flower or bug anywhere..
I think y'all misunderstood the 1st image though..
One of the beetles was obviously very tired and was just catching a lift on the other!

That's it - playing pigygback. It was probably too dang hot in Va today. Even the bugs went to the beach.

You just need to look a little harder Dave. I saw leaves moving and I pulled them back to find the beetles. If he had a finger, he would have probably given it to me for disturbing them.

Chuckle,
I'm with Scott on the Japanese Beetles, destructive little buggers! I like all the shots from both you guys. Good work.
