Mimosa pudica ( also called Sensitive Plant)

Found this plant while out walking the dog. It has a lot of little thorns along it's stem, but the bloom is so neat looking....I'll be taking more shots of it with more ambient light here shortly

EDIT:
Just got an ID & have changed the subject line

I like those, but I don't know what they are called. Nice diagonal.

I like that plant. From Wiki:
"Mimosa pudica (from Latin: pudica "shy, bashful or shrinking"; also called Sensitive Plant), is a creeping annual or perennial herb often grown for its curiosity value: the compound leaves fold inward and droop when touched or shaken, re-opening minutes later. The species is native to South America and Central America, but is now a pantropical weed."

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Good shot, Scott.
These are a great nuisance. The seeds are similar to bean pods, and blow freely by the wind once fallen and dry. As a result they infest every area of a yard, and are extremely difficult to remove due to the deep root system. Originally they may have been a curiosity, but are known as pests these days. In simple terms... don't take one home with you. ;)
