Ok so I know this is cheating since these were taken at a park, Yellowstone Bear world, but this is probably as close to bear cubs as I will get.

Cute pics. Check your ISO setting. If it is too high (over 800) that could be causing the noise.

Cute cubs! As far as the noise goes, did you do any heavy cropping? That will certainly cause some issues, unless your shooting with one of those handy dandy D800's that you can take a photo of the last luner landing spot with a 35mm prime lens lolol.
