Garden spider UK.

Found this wee chap hanging out in my shed a good while ago. Was really pleased with the detail I got from handheld with my old Tamron 70-300/1:2 macro lens.

imho both shots have some noise around
the spider that could benefit from noise reduction.
Both images are really cool shots to look at I like #2 slightly more.

Thanks, pal.

Yeah they are a bit noisy but I think that's due to me over-sharpening the images. Think I'll have to dig out the hard drive and have a fix at them.

bro get a noise reduction app like noiseware pro or noise ninja, topaz denoise duplicate the layer
apply noise reduction and make an area selection on the spider using the selection tool.
Then invert the mask and your done the noise reduction will be applied in the background and the spider
will remain sharp you might have to make minor touches using the brush tool around the legs etc.. but it will be cleaned up takes 5 min. no need to rework the shots.

Check your PM msg I sent you will see

Cool looking spider but not one that I would want to run across in anything but a picture!

Sorry to be a bit of a noob here. But what do you mean with noise. Both images look perfect to me, but I am not a photographer, but would like to know so I can improve my own feeble efforts.
