These photos are fantastic!! The first is great! shows the scars earned. Not sure if a Mare or a Stud, I am thinking a Mare. A crop for him/her to look into would help this shot! :judge:
Your second one is fantastic! Again a bit of a room to the right for the horses to look into. :judge:
The third, sorry. :(

Also, when you post make sure to click 'insert' so your photos show up in your post.

Thanks for posting!

Don't pi$$ me off, I am running out of room to store the bodies...

:agree:

1) This is an excellent exposure re: light, DoF. I would prefer to see the horizon leveled, which would put the horse at a slight angle to the left. I think this would add a dynamic quality to the shot. And yes, there needs to be space on the left. I'd probably crop to get the head in the center, 2/3 of the way up.

2) I find the treatment works well enough, even though I'm not a fan of that sort of thing. The crop should allow space on the right. The horses don't have to be centered.

3) Technically a fine exposure. Just not much happening there. And it needs room on the left.

General rule: don't put your subject smack in the middle of the frame. Perfect balance is generally bad. Yes, there are exceptions.
