Nikon D750 error code "Card" meaning?

5 years 4 weeks ago #637617 by Alexander M
I just put my card back into my D750 and it's flashing on the top display "Card".   I can click the preview on the back and view my photos that are on the card.  But it won't let me take a photo.  Not sure what is going on here.

Have you seen this before?

They write User's Guides for a reason.

Page 473/474, all of the possible reasons for "card" are listed.

The first thing to do is try another card. Then check your "lock" slider on the problematic card.

Check the lock button on the back of camera.

I feel like an idiot, it was the little switch on the side of the card.  Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help!

Nah, don't. Truth be told, that problem occurs for lots of people. It's very easy to cause that switch to move when inserting the card.

Oh I have managed to do this myself.  First time I sat there and spun wheels myself till someone pointed out the little switch on the card.

ha ha ha

If I'm being honest here, I just did this around Christmas time as well.  Came close to posting up a similar thread,  but found someone talking about this on another board I belong too!  Darn little switch!

LMAO!!!
