Nikon D700 Red, Green, Blue dots showing during night shots

10 months 4 days ago #652270 by Francis
I just picked up a second hand D700 and was testing it out last night and all my night shots have red, green and blue dots through out the entire shot.  My ISO is set at 800 so shouldn't be a noise issue.

Any ideas on this?

Stuck pixels that show up under that type of shooting. See if the D700 has a pixel mapping feature. Most modern cameras do but I have never used a D700 so I don't know if it has it or not.

Some googling shows that a procedure that worked on the D300 doesn't work on the D700.

You don't indicate your exposure length, or whether you shoot in RAW mode. If so, do you use LR/ACR, and does it do anything to remap?

Finally, you could probably send the camera to Nikon to get the sensor remapped.
