Little black spot on my Nikon D7500 LCD screen

3 years 3 months ago #706433 by Kyle O
I just noticed yesterday that a little black spot has popped up on my Nikon D7500 LCD screen.  I thought it was dirt at first, but wiped down the screen and see its in the screen.

I have tried different things from previewing photos, to looking at something via live view.  The black spot is there in all cases.  Could this be a burned out pixel or pixels?

If so, what is the fix?

:thx2:

Likely dust on the sensor...

Yep. Dead pixel, I would guess especially if it shows up in the menu as well as reviewing images.

I think Randy's got it right. A new screen I'm afraid.

G'day Kyle

You ask 'what is the fix' ?

If you can live with it - leave it there ...... it's only on the viewing screen, not in your images, so just ignore it

If still covered by a guaranty, well worth having it replaced.
If not, being "zen" with it is waaaaaay less costly.

I think you will be required to replace the screen as there is no other solution.
However, I think it only seems to be on the viewing screen, and will not have
an effect on your images. So, if you don't want to do an urgent replace then you
can still use the Nikon.
