My Son....

This photo of Ryan & I was taken last year on Christmas Day. Shortly thereafter, I started reflecting on the fact that my "baby" would soon be celebrating his 25th Birthday... I wrote this poem for him. Thank you for letting me share my poetry with you.

My Son

Of the man you've become
Words do not express.....
the depths of my affections
or the ways you've blessed my life.

God picked out the gentlest of souls.....
Then........he brought you to me,
A heart so pure, a smile that melts mountains
Forever, His Light shines in your eyes.

A gentle Spirit, a child full of wonder....
is Now the man I see standing before me.
Your Kindness and Compassion
encompass all souls,
with warmth and understanding
that few can know.

My child, I am.....Eternally grateful,
You have touched my heart
far more than you know.
You.....and the man you've become
Are the Light of my Life......
.........I Love You.
