Opinions always welcome! I shot this Saturday for my nephew and his fiancee.

I took a little creative license to enhance the ring.

I like the poses and the photos for the most part but they seem a bit dark in some just the clothes and the last the photo as a whole. Maybe the last just a bump up of the levels in PS might just do the trick.

I think you did a really good job. I like the poses. Beautiful ring. Nice job at showing it off.

Thanks for the input. I had issues lightening these up as the only time they had was RIGHT before sunset on a cloudy day- not good. I was afraid of blowing things out by over lightening them or by adding too much noise. This is only the 2nd time I have done a photo shoot, both have been for family, I am very new at this and looking to grow so input is always welcome.

just keep shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting and dont be afraid just adjust in camera and in PS and see what comes out. Not every photo is gonna be a cover shot but that one that could be is just a click away lol

MJ,i`ll be super critical here,so here goes...just remember these are my critiques, that doesn`t qualify me as an expert....
#1...Don`t like the white roof so close the heads,it pulls your eyes away from the couple
#2..Too much clouds above the couple,I would crop about 1/2 in above the lady head.
#3...I see why the guy is looking at her but why the closed eyes?open up the trees in the background a touch
#4...The ring...you will get a pose for that with time but that white area is overshadowing the subject...the ring.
Next time use fill flash or if no flash use Nik plugins for better processing....hope you did get Viveza2.
You will improve that I have no doubt,so just keep shooting.

Also can use fill in ACR, and dodge/burn the rest.

I like the shoot, it's a good start, but lighting is crucial.

I appreciate the critique. I can crop out the first two, I think. Will give it a go. As for number three and closed eyes- they actually weren't he just has small eyes. It was hard to get him smiling and depth in his eye area. I will re-shoot the ring, maybe bring a backdrop for it, and see how that goes. Or I may crop it differently and see.

I did use my Nik plug-ins. You really don't want to see the RAW images- they are super dark and very one-dimensional, no pop or contrast what so ever. They looked ok in camera but upon download I cringed. I am always open for honest thoughtful crit, so this gives me something to work on :) The snow gave me blown out hi-lights and the shadows gave me serious darks. I will be going back over these. Thank You Robbie, Scotty & mk.
