I really don't like clowns.

They don't freak me out or anything, I just don't like that sort of thing and they annoy me! But I have to admit these two had me laughing. They didn't change how I feel over-all about clowns though!

These were the best of the bunch. Cc needed as always!
Thanks

I'm wondering what aperture you used for these. There's really a lot of DoF -- I almost feel like I can read the label on the fire extinguisher in the background! I'm thinking a wider aperture might suit some of these well though. #2 for example, if you were to shoot it like a sports event (f/2.8 lens wide open or close to it), the DoF of the juggling pins might be a cool effect, and the ones that are slightly blurred might be frozen and tack-sharp from a faster shutter speed.

More of an artistic curiosity than a critique though, IMO you did a great job with the exposure and nice sharp images.

They ranged from f5.6 to f8. It was difficult to gauge whether all that dark blue, blacks and yellows were going come out okay. I see what you mean about the Dof. At the time I did consider opening the lens all the way. But I made the decision to increase the Dof. I'm kind of wishing I would've chosen the opposite, although I'm not unhappy with the pics overall. f4 would've been the largest for that lens. I was trying to keep the shutter speed a little slow so I could get slight movement from the juggling pins.
Thanks for the input!!

I just don't like that sort of thing and they annoy me!

There are days when I wonder if you are my long lost brother. Only I have absolutely no sense of rhythm :pinch:

 I hate the circus... no, I hated taking kids to the circus..... But I saw an actual circus train one morning going to work. And it was stopped, and no I didn't have a camera in the car.

Great photos, these are well framed and composed and sharp and colorful. The only thing I'd watch is the banners, I think they're crooked because there's one shot where the floor looks straight and the sign is at an angle. That and cutting the lettering or part of the sign off, it probably would look better to have more of the signs/banners or not include them at all (but probably a little crop would take care of that). And I'd try to keep an eye on little distractions like the fire extinguisher, sometimes you can't help but have some of those but when you can eliminate them it seems to clean up the background.

I thought that too about the shutter speed, but you could probably go either way, freeze the action or try for some interesting motion blur. I actually think the DOF works, with the linear or geometric pattern to the background I don't know how good it would look if it was out of focus - especially since the subjects are fairly close to the background. Seems this way that it adds an interesting pattern to the photos.

Now, mascots, they're really annoying... and a bunch of hams. Which is good I guess if you want their picture. :rolleyes
