I should get the bone head award of the year award!

13 years 4 months ago #10096 by Weston
I went photographing some train tracks today, slipped on some mud and managed to get mud all over my right side of jeans, got back and tossed my pants in the wash. Can you guess what was in my pocket of my jeans? If you guessed my memory card, then you are correct!

I have it sitting out on dry surface right now, hoping that tomorrow it will be ok, and my photos will be on it.

Any chance anyone else done anything like this? Were your photos there after?

Put your memory card in a bag of rice. It'll absorb the moisture.

At least it didn't make it to the dryer! Keep us posted on how that works out. Curious myself.

Didn't know I had rice in the house, but I found it and it's in a bag, thanks for the tip Scott. I take it this has happened to you or someone you know?

Well don't feel too bad. I spilled coffee over the top of my camera earlier this year. I flipped it over and took it apart and cleaned it as best as I could. I still get a twinge when I think of it!

LMAO!!! I'm sorry, I have to say I've been on edge about this memory card hoping that all the photos will still be on it. When I read your post, I got a good laugh! Hopefully no one will take my hard earned title! :cheer:

Sorry for the delay, we have family in town. I didn't plug in the card till last night and the photos were still there! I have to say I'm very surprised! I wouldn't have expected this to work again. Hey at least my card is sparkling clean now!

Thanks again for all the help!

There's an award for bone head of the year? That's not very nice.
