How do you respond -

To when someone tells you that you have a nice camera? I was reading on someones blog that they respond with "thanks, I made it myself". LOL I found this to be pretty funny considering I've had numerous complements on my camera. I'm such a poser, I'm going to use this line next time. :lol:

I usually respond with a Thank You and something about how nice it is to be shooting wherever we happen to be- even if I hate the Arena

Depends on where I'm at, sometimes they may have a camera also and would just like to start a conversation with you.

LOL funny I will need to remember that (I'm made it myself).

I usually will just thank them and make a comment about what ever I'm photographing.

The comment that I get most goes something similar to this;
"That's a really nice camera, bet you can take some great pictures with that"

My response is .... "Thanks .... And I can take some really bad photographs too"

This is my favorite thread on this subject. Amen to taking some bad shots, too. Just because we have expensive toys doesn't mean we'll always get good shots. I gotta remember your line.

LOL Bob- It's just kind of a reminder that the uninitiated think that the more expensive the camera-the better the photograph that you get !

Over here in the UK they must be miserable beggars cos no one has ever commented on my camera, but I am going to remember some of those lines just in case.

Depends on if they are just commenting on the camera itself or that it takes nice pictures. If it is on the camera then I say Thank-You if they say it must take good pictures then I say you have a pretty mouth it must say something profound every once in awhile.

I will thank them and ask if they are a photographer, and generally see where it goes from there.
