I want to acquire some books on Macro photography, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I am very interested in books that cover extension tubes, as well as macro lenses.

The classic is John Shaw's "Closeups in Nature" . It was written before the digital era so a little bit of the book is outdated but 90% is still very relevant. He goes into depth about all the different tools and techniques for macro. John Shaw is an acknowledged long standing master of nature and macro photography.

Thanks, I see I made a good choice, that is the only book I have ordered so far. :cheer:

PS thanks for the link to his site I had not looked at it before, I will have to take some time and look at his images. The few I looked at are amazing.

John Shaw's "Closeups in Nature" arrived in today's mail  It looks like a great book, and right now while I can not take photos :( the next best thing is to read about taking photos. That and spend time on the PT forums.:P

Take advantage of Walden's & Borders going out of business...they are selling everything out at 40% off. I am going to be investing into a few I have had my eye on for a while now.
