Do you wait till your batteries are completely dead before placing on the charger?

No need to run modern batteries down, I usually charge when they get to 50% or so. BTW, I use Sanyo Eneloops......;)

Same here, I will toss my batteries on the charger after a week or two of not using the flash. Or after a couple good uses.

As was said no I dont take them to depletion. I do get pretty low at times but not usually. Actually running them all the way down is bad for the newer batteries. Also using a fast charger will kill them faster. You want slow charging to keep them alive longer. Also I still carry the Energizer Lithiums just in case as backups, they last a long time in storage.

Good information to know. I usually charge them every week whether they are fully drained or not, just to keep them fresh.

I guess that I should put mine on the charger today as I haven't done it for a few weeks- good advice
