Let's see your home studios

I'm really serious about photography and learning as much as I can. I've decided I'm going to build a small studio in my house so that when the weather is crummy outside, I can work on product photography or general photography inside still.

I'm fishing for ideas and inspiration, so please post a photo of your home studio. Thanks again, and if you didn't see my intro. I'm Ethan. Really nice to meet you all. (I'm new here, just signed up this morning).

Welcome to the site. Here is what I have for a home studio, I have a number of stands, diffusers, back drops, Photoflex softboxes and Photogenic 3 Strobe Light Web Kit which includes a pretty cool 24" Smith Victor Shooting Table. One of my favorite tools is a Manfrotto Magic Arm. I have this holding up the light on the right hand side. So many ways to use this.

I just ordered one of those magic arms, a friend of mine has one that he uses all the time. How do you like that table?

Nothing like that, I have taken some white sheets and construction paper to make temp back grounds for shooting items.

I envy you having the space to do even a simple setup like that.

In Hong Kong space is tight (I guess having 3 kids doesn't help matters... oh and our maid takes up a room...). ;)

Nice setup!

How do the models fit in there? :silly:

I see the connection here. We're onto you Alex. You're the photographer of that small indian dancer guy.

Yeah it's alright if you can get a good one. We've got a good one now, but we just finished with two bad ones in a row. :pinch:

Does the maid take care of your kids when you not home? Or do they just clean, cook, etc?

Both really. What they can't do is work in other businesses or for more than one family. For example if you have a flower shop and you make the maid work there selling flowers, that's illegal.
