Sepia.

For this photo I would say Sepia as well Color could be with a lil editing on the clarity on her face. The light looks like its blurring some of the detail on her skin you notice it on the forehead and chin. Truth be it I'm always big on clarity with photos but if that's what your aiming for then by all means ignore the new guy :P But between the two ya the Sepia has my vote.

I like the sepia except I would back off the saturation about 50%. The color image is nice also.

The first ones lighting seems a bit warm, the second shot looks great. Nice job

Both are good. I think people choose the sepia because of what TN says -- the colors are bit too much. Bring the saturation down a touch on the color version.

Matthew :)

PS check your "picture" setting. It may be on Vivid (or similar).

Well, I couldn't agree more on the choice for sepia on this shot. Yeah the saturation is a bit too hot, couldn't agree more.

I was packing all my gear during our recent move across town and came across the Nikon "Picture Perfect " install disk that came with my D70 when I bought it, decided to try it out. Some of my RAW files were converted wonderfully and others, like this shot came out a little bit off on the color. If I am going to produce sepia shots in the future, I think that I will use the picture perfect. when I get time I'll re-edit in photoshop. Thanks again everyone!

A couple of thing that make this shot very hard to edit is the blown highlights in the face and hands from the hard light coming from the sunset, and the noise. But this was a very spur of the moment capture that I shot 6 months after picking the camera up for the first time.

It is what it is.

With RAW though you should be able to change the white balance to get rid of the orange or just use your staturation tool and move that slider color down a bit. I like the sepia but just a bit lighter shade.

I suspect that was the true color of the light. It just needs toned down some to "look" better.

I like the golden late-day light, maybe some adjustment would do the trick.
