External battery pack for Nikon SB-900 flash?

I'm tired of replacing batteries on my flashes, any of you use a external battery pack for your Nikon speedlight? It always seems these batteries go dead at the wrong time.

Yes, pick yourself up a Quantum Turbo 3, it has 2 ports on it. Get ready to shell out some bucks. It's just over $600

A while ago I switched to eneloops (rechargeable AA's). They work fine for occasional flashes.

Any time you take your flash for a shoot, have two or three spare sets with you. Even a slow flash, from worn out batteries, can cause you to miss a shot.

If you need frequent flash and long distances are involved, like Rob does for indoor sports, then invest in a battery pack.

When your shopping take a look at the Dynalite Jackrabbit ll battery pack. At 1.9 lbs and over 700 full power shots on manual you cant go wrong. And it's only 3.5 hours to recharge it.

I just read another response you posted, you must work for Dynalite? You keep pushing it?

Tough call, I'm thinking about the Quantum Turbo, but might get some additional rechargeable batteries for the days when I don't want to be lugging the Quantum around.

Yes I do work for Dynalite and I never hid that fact. I'm only sugesting it as an alternative product to look at when shopping. I've had mine for over ten years and it's still working fine.
