How to photogragh golf clubs?

12 years 8 months ago #134951 by D1ixo
I need to take pictures of golf clubs for a website.
What is the best way to photograph the clubs heads that are chrome and reflective?

I have access to studio lights.

Are there any shooting angles or lighting techniques that will help give me the most accurate depiction of the club while cutting down on the shadows and dark spots that show up in the reflective surface?

Thanks.

Using a circular polarizer might help cut down on the glare.

Thanks, does anyone know any lighting techniques? or a book on lighting to point me in the right direction. I really would like nothing to show up in the reflective surface. But if using a circular polarizer is my best bet, then I'll give it a try.

Well, i just linked to the latest edition. I didn't notice that it's not out yet. Just get an older edition. Search for the title. It's been around for many years. I have my own copy.

I can't imagine why you would want to eliminate all reflections, unless the shot is for engineering instead of sales. But your best bet there will be a tent.
