How much money have you spent on your camera equipment?

Have you thought about how much you have spent on camera equipment in the last few years? I was just over to a friends house and she was taking inventory of all her equipment for her insurance policy which added up to nearly $8000. Personally myself I'm coming up to only $3000.

She was telling me her best friend who is a professional wedding photographer is well over $21,000.

I'm sitting around $28,000.

OMG!! No wonder my husband doesn't want me to upgrade.$399 for a nice P&S is a heck of a lot cheaper!! Well he just dosen't need to know numbers, no sense stressing him out unnecessarily. I should be able to keep it under $2000 with camera body and lenses!!

About $15,000 here after a quick assessment. I had to give up my heavy drug addiction and gambling to afford, hope it was worth it..............

Why so serious?

2.5 years into photography here. I'd say around $1,800, bought a lot of used gear though.

It is what it is.

I simply look too good in a tux. And get hit on constantly...

Makes it difficult to shoot. :(
