Have you ever gotten photographers block? I haven't touched my camera in over a month. I can't seem to shake this block. I have no idea what to take pictures of.

I have once or twice in the past. When that happens, I just let it happen. I don't stress about it. Sometimes our minds just need a break.

Ah every once in awhile I end up like that. I still always carry my equipment with me though because when I dont I see something I want to shoot. But when I get that way I just go out in the woods hike and watch the world around me change with the light. Sometimes something will popup and other times not. I also sometimes go to place where I have shot before but didnt get what I wanted, different times of the year and weather sometimes change enough to get it.

I have.... It went on for a while to the point where i didnt even care about taking photos any more. I picked up a new hobby that ended up taking all of my time an money.
It lasted about 10 years and just last year around this time i picked my camera back up again and am taking (in my opinion) some of my most creative photos. The break was good for me.

I have. Like Karl, I also stop shooting for a long time. Then one day I picked up the camera and now I can't seem to put it down.

I get that in the summer/off season after 6-8 months of shooting hockey, then I just can't wait for the season to start again. Right now at mid season I'm too busy to get any kind of block as I am shooting a couple thousand frames a week in search of that perfect hockey moment to photograph.

If I have been sitting at home, sometimes I'll get it. Wondering what to do, where to go etc.. But once I am out in the wonderful world, I never have a problem shooting.

Some times it's all about just getting out and taking the photos

It costs nothing to hang your camera over your shoulder, so why not hang it there every time you go out the door, you may not use it but who cares, it was there for that moment that could have been waiting for you, its sods law that if you go out without the camera you will end up saying, Dam it wish I had my camera.

Amen to that. I shoot mostly with my 70-200, but if i'm not feeling creative with it, the 14mm tends to open up new worlds.

One thing that has worked for me is to get out of my "comfort zone" .... It makes you think again and can bring out a different creativity. Expand your horizons!

I think I've hit that too, but then again it could be I've been busy preparing for school. It's odd to because there for over a month straight I had new pictures to upload every day.:silly:

Get out in the field and just go for it. I will start shooting things at a different angle, and for the most part things fall into place. Or I will just start taking photos of odd ball things till I find something that has potential, then I focus on that.
