(Used) Lee square polariser

12 years 7 months ago #148512 by Tennis Guy
I just bought a box of photography gear from someone on Craigslist and as a added bonus in the box was a Lee's square polariser filter. Now I'm thinking thing feels odd spinning a square filter vs round screw on one.

Are there any perks to using this filter? (compared to normal circular)

I'm posting this up because I know Lee does a good job on their filters, so there might be something I'm unaware of here.

I don't mind their filters when they are left in one spot, but to have spinning a square filter wouldn't sit good with me.

Nikon D300 24-70mm f2.8
70-200mm f2.8
50mm f1.4 & 50mm f1.8
105mm f2.8

:agree: same here. Seems like that would be awkward to spin around

You got a great deal, it seems. It's either a 3x3 or 4x4 inch professional filter.

Can be used with a matte box or a square filter holder.

I thought square filters were only for film cameras, not use on digital cameras...am I wrong?

Yes. They work on both.

How does a square filter fit onto a digital camera?
