Nikon’s Facebook page is blowing up with comments. But not for the right reasons

The two brands are nearly dead even in pro gear but those getting started are getting Canon's attention.

lol what does this have to do with the topic?

The criticism that the Nikon FB page post is the result of poor marketing, not quality products. That's exactly why the comment fits the subject. :catfight: NIkon made a statement that we have heard the exact opposite repeatedly on PT.

Sorry to disagree John, kinda clever marketing actually. Even bad publicity will increase sales because it gets people talking like we're doing here. The marketing dept. really doesn't mind if they sound kinda dumb as long as there is a sales increase. :)

It is what it is.

Lol This has nothing to do with nikon vs canon :catfight:

Exactly, this topic has nothing to do with Nikon vs Canon. It is just a discussion on their recent comment which has triggered an outburst in the interwebs!

Well the way I look at it is that the marketing division wrote it and as we know they are clueless. Canons MD would no doubt do the same thing, well they wont now because of the flap. Either way both are going to say their cameras will make you a regular professional, even if you are not. Remember they are not pandering to those of us who have been shooting for a long time but the general public, or the newbies.

Yes, and what I found funny is how many Canon users were commenting on that post, stating they're glad they shoot Canon and such things. If it's not about the equipment, why say that Canon is better or something?! LOL hypocrites. :catfight:
