Shooting nature for fun, portraits for pay?

Who here photographs nature for fun, for themselves, but you're also available to shoot portraits just to bring in extra income? Have you gain more clients and don't have time to take pictures of what you truly love?

I was into photographing landscapes and only accepting friend's request for a family portrait, but that turned into more clients. Which I am happy to gain more $$$, but now I don't have time to shoot landscapes anymore.

I'm new to photography, so I am just getting into portraits. No pay yet, I probably won't charge for a good year, depending how the whole portrait side goes. You should try and make time for yourself. If you don't work the weekends, go out and shoot. I know some of us have families that take up our time, but take the family with you. Go on a weekend vacation. Spend some quality time with the family and get some of YOUR shooting in. B)

No creative person has the right to complain that they have too much work. Be happy.

Actually I have all the right in the world to complain, if I choose too. It's called freedom of speech. I am happy that I can make money from photography which I love, unlike some people have to work jobs they hate. However, the specific field I enjoy doing I can't seem to find time too, so I thought I would turn to a photography forum to see if anyone else is in my shoes and how they work around it.

These people have a right to complain (but they aren't):

If anything, photography should make you a better person. It covers all of humanity.

Be happy. :)
