% of good vs bad photos?

What can you do with blinkers and fidgeters except take lots of photos? If the reason you have to take so many is your fault then its something that can be worked on. If the problem is with the subject, and you only work with them occasionally, you may just have to deal with it. How you get to the finished work can be important, but mostly you are graded on what you deliver.

I take plenty of extra shots. With some subjects it turns out to be unnecessary, and I drive myself crazy trying to determine which is the best of three basically identical photos. But when I get someone who blinks a lot, talks during the picture taking, won't look at the camera, etc... I'm usually glad I've got the extras to sort through.

I would have to agree with you Amanda, most artist are more critical of their own work, than others are. We tend to look for flaws were others do not.
