What/Who is your inspiration?

I know that each of us have an inspiration in our lives, someone that made or makes us want to get into photography.

Mine is a long time friend who I look up to as a father. I wish he had his photos online, so I could show you.

Who is your inspiration?

I really don't have anyone. I'm fairly new to photography, so I'm just getting into, haven't study anyone's work.

My grandfather (dad's side) was a photographer. My dad grew up in a house where a second bathroom got converted to a darkroom. My dad had a mild interest in photography -- in fact I currently have his old Nikon film SLR, which is about the same age as I am.

I knew I had it in my blood, but didn't actually get into it for myself until about 2002, when I had a job managing a photo lab. Seeing what good photographers could do was inspiring, not to mention seeing the beginning of the potential of digital photography. So I bought my first high-end P&S while working there, learned a lot, upgraded to a DSLR and never looked back :)

I think it's more touching/inspiring to know someone personally...like a family member, compare to just some known photographer.

I got into togging as a meas to get out, I was getting snowed under with work and was literally getting up on my day off and heading into the office which wasn't healthy, I bought the camera and now love it...

I never thought I had an artistic bone in my body although having an artist as a mother helps :)

The bug has well and truely bitten and I just want to learn more and more and try new things :)
