This might yield some interesting answers.

I will start this one off:

Having my Dad wake me up at 4 am to go shoot the grand canyon at sunrise, getting my wife up at 11pm in Alaska to shoot the twilight, shooting the last 13 seasons of hockey and only missing a handful of games...is that enuf ???

Moderating a group like this on Flick....We tend to be very hardcore when it comes to older MF lenses on Nikon DSLR's...We do much more than the average shooter to modify our cameras & lenses...Here's a current thread

Pretty hard core yes indeed. When i shoot i try to make it to a pre-scouted location for my shot about 1.5 hrs before the actual sunrise time to get set up and get that pre-dawn light (which is still rare because my wife gets pissed when she wakes up on our 2 days off during the week together and i'm not there... It's a give and take situation). I wish it could happen more often (getting out early a.m.)... but i'm thankful for my situation. :)

Its wierd Rob, the thought of doing it sounds mad, but when I am there it feels great, even the naughty ones are funny, the criers do drive you mad but I have learned patience is a virtue.
