I agree, nice photo but I would not pay that much. I even took smiliar photos like the one linked and I wouldn't have the guts to sell it for $1million. However, maybe I should. lol See if I get any buyers.

Peter Lik is an incredible photographer. I'm honestly not surprised it sold for that much.

Haha, it just dawn on me. This is the same photographer a old classmate of mine decided to get himself a DSLR and shoot panoramics because he was inspire from Peter Lik. I'm glad he was inspired because Peter does take some incredible pictures. But this guy I know, went from a P&S to a Canon, but a higher camera level that I have. And he knows nothing about what makes a great photo. He kept asking me what camera he should buy, what lenses he should buy. I told him, buy a tilt shift lens. I know he didn't buy one. In the end, he fork out around 3 grand on his first DSLR and equipment.

I wish my old classmate all the best of luck. But becoming a pro photographer (not just making the money but capturing the images) doesn't happen over night.

Not jealous. I respect him. He's good inspiration. He is the best landscape photographer alive right now.

Yea, i agree he is one of the best alive.. where he looses my 10 out of 10 stars is in his color. Looking through his galleries, the colors are all disappointingly exaggerated... so he gets 9 out of 10 stars from me.

Same w/Gallen Rowell. He was my biggest influence in landscape photography and philosophy (and still is my favorite to this day RIP) but he loved using color filters and it created an exaggerated effect on his photos.. but his compositions were 11 out of 10 stars!
