Backup photo files while traveling

So I'm trying to figure out the best cloud or remote storage system. I've done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and it seems every company I get excited about turns out to have less than stellar reviews, or isn't very Mac friendly.

I'm traveling to some potentially dangerous places (high theft) and I'll probably be getting travelers insurance for myself and my gear but that helps me little with any photos I might lose. I know for the most important stuff I'll probably hide a USB of edited files on my person but the original raws will be too big for that. Plus, it'd be nice to have that extra backup anyway.

Advice?

If you don't want to use cloud storage than sd mem cards or mem sticks, they come in very large sizes now, personally I would go with cloud type storage. Stick with a major company and the pictures will be there when you get home.

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

Have you tried dropbox?
Also, Icloud if you're on a mac can back up your pictures.

Didn't I read that you can get a iCloud from Apple for free?

Yea I have dropbox but it's only 2gb right?

A friend suggested I set up remote storage with an external at my parents or something. Is that what you mean about dropbox?

That sounds too good to be true. I used to have a paid site with apple and had some storage there, I don't think there was a free option but maybe I'm wrong.
