Photography in caves

How can I take a picture in a cave and have it come out perfect? I don't want to use the flash. I want only the lighting that is put in the cave. What settings should I use?

I used to do a lot of spelunking in my younger days & i would take my camera with me. If there is some form of lighting, it won't be enough unless you have a tripod & you use long shutter speeds. You would be better off with flah & multiple units at that...Are you spelunking or going iwith commercial cave tours like Luray?

I was talking about cave tours.

Thanks for the advice. Are tripods allowed in cave tours?

Well if the lighting is adequate your focus should work well. You will want to bump up your ISO speed and open the lens up. You should have atleast a monopod if they allow it. It is like say standard night shooting only underground. Some of the cave tours are very well lit so getting a good photo isnt a problem. For my caving I use my led flashlight for focusig and light. This cave had a crack that let the sun come in so it was easy. I have others but they arent uploaded where I used my flashlight.
