What's your favorite subject to photograph?

I'm that guy who ask's a basic open ended question that hopefully hasn't been asked by every other new person on this board. I'm new here so hopefully this will work as planned to get to know people here.

What is your favorite subject to photograph and why?

Mine's landscape, I might not be the best but I sure enjoy getting our into the fresh air and just being in nature. It's so peaceful for me.

BTW I'm Roy. Nice to meet you.

Welcome to PT, Roy.
I do a bit of most things (except stay away from weddings and formal portraits) but especially like wildlife and macro.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

:welcomeclan Nice to meet you, Roy. We are many miles apart, since I am in Florida...love this web!
:goodpost: Can't pick one favorite subject...trees ( especially dead ones ) and tree frogs top my list, with landscape & flowers following...people are at the tail end.

What you are is so loud, I can't hear a word you say!

Hello again Roy. It is nice to see you posting and asking questions - open ended or not...:woohoo:

I love outdoors which will include landscape, nature, wildlife and anything else that attracts my attention. Add to the list Street photography, especially festivals like bike week where I find a target rich environment.

Welcome to PT Roy.

My favorites are Wildlife, Landscapes and Macro. Macro of bugs and small critters just fits with my larger wildlife addiction. Like Baydream .... not gonna find me doing a wedding or portrait photogrpahy .... unless it's a bear portrait!

So far I like shooting portraits, and anything that's odd.

Hockey, and more hockey. (I see you're from Ottawa.) I don't do weddings, or wildlife, or macro - what's left? I don't know how to categorize it as much as I photograph whatever I see that I find interesting or can see how it could make a good photograph; sometimes I see something and have a little a-ha moment. Lately I've been interested in and noticing patterns and doing more abstract type photos.

I basically shoot whatever piques my interest- mostly flowers, some bugs, some landscape, some people. I am game for anything usually.

Welcome to PT Roy. Like Sharon I LOVE shooting Hockey first but sports in general with some landscape/travel photography as well. I have done wedding/portrait photography as well as abstract work.
I shoot hockey because it is a fast moving , action sport- always something going on to catch my eye.
I shoot people/weddings/portraits to put bread in my jar
I shoot landscapes/cityscapes for relaxation and fun.
hope this answers your question
