I'm looking for a cheap wide-angle lens for my Nikon D90. Any suggestions?

Try a Tokino 11-16mm 2.8. It's one of only a few with the 2.8 f-stop and it's the sharpest of all my lenses. Cost me just under $600 bucks but I think it was worth every penny.

BTW: My dad always told me never to call anything cheap. Say "inexpensive"

I recommend the Sigma AF 24mm 2.8 macro. It's a discontinued lens but can generally be found used. Ebay for instance.

How wide do you want to go, and are you satisfied with a prime lens, or do you want zoom?

FYI, I was told to shop for lenses at KEH and Usedcameras, and even on ebay. Don't forget to look used!

Try to find a used Nikon 18-35 f 3.5-4.5 ED - it's a great wide zoom

I have picked up a couple lenses from KEH, excellent results and would highly recommend.

From my experience, go with the Sigma 24mm 2.8 manual focus. It has a better and sharper focus than the Nikkor 24 mm 28 AF non-D which i have also used but was never really happy with.

Actually it's Tokina

Anyway, I agree, this lens is a very good lens.

BTW that last comment was a bit cheap. :p

What do you consider cheap?

Why so serious?

Yes, there is a wide range of lenses to deal with. A price range would help.
