How long have you been a photographer?

Me again just making small talk. Actually I'm getting on here late today, had hoped to be on earlier.

So I've been in photography for a couple years now. I had a slow start with a hand me down Nikon D80 that was given to me, that camera lasted me till I bought my D7000 about 14 months ago. Funny thing is, once I started spending time with my camera, I was hooked.

Happy to be part of this hobby!

Now back to the title question, how long have you been in photography?

You had to ask!! LOL Longer than you but not as long as the Major.

I bought my first SLR after I graduated from college, and I'm a longtime film photographer. I collect vintage cameras and use some of them from time to time; have one digital camera and more film cameras than I can count. Have done some B&W darkroom work too.

I got my first SLR nearly six years ago :)

I was meaning to ask - did you take your avatar photo, Lila? I like it! I'd like to see more from you :)

I was given my first camera in 1965 and have been making images ever since. I have been a sports photojournalist since 1993/94 hockey season. Glad you asked.

I've been interested in photography since I was a kid, but didn't get a camera with manual controls and actually start learning until about 2004.
