What happens to a camera when the sensor goes bad?
No reason for question, just curious. I was reading about how long these sensors are supposed to last. And the question just jumped in my head.
Nikon 18-55mm VR, Nikon 70-200mm VRII f/2.8, Nikon 50mm f/1.8, Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, SB-700 & SB-800

Yeah there will be no doubt when it happens. You can double check it by using another card to rule that out as the culprit. Sometime though your sensor may show more dead pixels as well as it gets near its end time.
